Goodbye June | 2014

Hello, Lovelies

The summer seems to be slipping out of my grasp yet again as June is coming to a close. Yes, I have two more months, but if June can slip away so easily, who can say that the rest of summer won't do the same? Before we all know, it will be back-to-school sales and getting into the routine again. I will be starting my senior year of high school and worrying about everything under the sun. We will all be wondering where summer has gone, and "Why couldn't have it lasted just a little bit longer?"

Nevertheless, summer is in full swing with long hot days, sunbathing, and iced lemonade. Throw in a good book and time with friends, and all is well.

So far, my summer has consisted of music, movies, books, sunbathing, swimming, hanging out with friends, photography, and sleeping. The occasion band practice is also expected. Today it was a smothering 84 degrees, but I'm not complaining. What would summer be without the heat? Tomorrow is expected to be a high of 88. I say: bring it on. (Of course, this is nothing to Cierra. Arizona is a whole lot hotter!)

I seriously think I could start singing songs from Grease! Peace out, Lovelies!

Another Summer Tag

Hello, Lovelies

For those around a while, last fall I did the Autumn Tag (inspired by The Girl in Pinkk). I thought it would be fun/interesting/mildly entertaining/time consuming to do a summer tag by rewording the questions and making them fit with the current season. Shall we?

Favorite thing about Summer?
The sun, the warm weather, color guard season, band camp, hanging out, tanning, reading/rereading books, it being socially acceptable to wear my bikini around the house, no school (although I have an online class I'm behind on...), #randomsummeradventures, and the list goes on and on...

Favorite drink?
Lately, I have all been for the Mocha Frappiccinos from Starbucks. They are so, so good.

Favorite scent/candle?
I love the smell of sunscreen. I just find it really nice despite how weird that may be. It means that summer really has arrived. Not that I actually use sunscreen...

Best lipstick?
I haven't been into lipstick a whole lot lately. Chapstick on the other hand. I love Vaseline Lip Therapy and Blistex Raspberry Lemonade Blast. They keep my lips hydrated and soft : )

Go-to moisturizer?
The only moisturizer I use is Jergen's Cherry Almond Moisturizer. It works like a charm.

Go-to color for the eyes?
I hardly ever wear eye shadow in the summer. If I had to pick, I would choose a nice, light, shimmery champagne. It goes with everything, so you can't go wrong.

Favorite music to listen to?
My music taste ranges from somewhat country to pop to rap to up and coming and classic piano. I listen to it all. I have recently discovered the Vamps and I really love their song Somebody to You. 5 Seconds of Summer is another must.
I sense a top 10 post coming soon...

Favorite outfit to wear?
My new daisy dress is a recent favorite, but a more chill outfit of choice would be shorts and my 5SOS t-shirt. Thanks, Cee-Sarah!

Summer treat?
My all time favorite summer treats would be fresh green beans straight from my great grandma's garden, watermelon, and sweet, black cherries!

Favorite place to be?
Laying in bed, laying on my couch, laying on my beach towel, spinning on the field.

So, it's been a while.

Hello, Lovelies.

I definitely need to start this post off by saying sorry. Sorry I haven't really posted in so long. Sorry I haven't posted even my 365 photos lately. Just *sighs* sorry.

In other news, junior year of high school is finally over! I hope to do a whole other post summing up my year, but I'm not sure if that's going to happen. Let me know in the comments if this is something you want to see... If not, just forget I even mentioned anything about it.

Also, my father has recently congratulated me on getting a life. Let me explain: Every summer I stay home all day, lay in the sun, watch Grey's Anatomy (if you were reading this blog last summer, you already know this), and read. Every day, all day. The only activity I would leave the house for would be band/color guard practice.

So far this summer, I have hung out with people more than all the other summers combined. That's saying something.

I can't tell you how wonderful it feels to be writing something for my blog right now. Seriously, a natural high. I love it! I don't understand why I was having such a problem with writing. I believe the main problem was that I realized my blog was actually getting people who read through it, and I didn't want to write something that was stupid or irrelevant.

How ludicrous is that, though? This blog is for me and my thoughts, and so I can share them. Not everyone is going to agree with me or appreciate what I share but that shouldn't matter. It doesn't matter! I write for myself. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and so am I.

With that said, I am going to catch up on my Project 365 photo posts and think of a bunch more post topics. Peace out, Girl Scouts!
