Oh, Autumn!

Let's get serious now. I have waited for Autumn all summer. It is the bearer of many things; mostly good and some not so much. The air is crisp and the smell of food is all that much more present. School starts, sweaters and leggings are a must, and football games are the highlight of your week. For us band geeks, it brings practice, performances, and band laps. Holidays are in the mix somewhere too, not to mention the piles of homework we all leave until last minute. Hey, we're all about honesty here.

When I think about Autumn I think about people, performing, family visits, and ways to become more me. I think about cool nights and colorful leaves. I think about how I have the most fun in Autumn. I really don't think you understand. That is unless you have this Autumn loving disease with me.

Here's a bit of what I am looking forward to this Autumn.

  • Viking Volunteers events and activities other than the usual recycling jazz such as trick or treat so others can eat and the fall leaf rake.
  • Performing in color guard even when it is down pouring rain. Side note: will be looking forward to it more once our show is done and we don't look so ridiculous in front of everyone we know.
  • Participating in spirit week for homecoming at school.
  • Visiting with family who only come to Michigan where I live once a year. <3 Newsflash: They aren't coming this year. Just found out.
  • Getting to know all the foreign exchange students at my school. I think they are awesome and interesting and well, I could go on for a while so I'll stop.
  • Drinking hot chocolate before bed after late night events like the homecoming dance or a football game.
  • Fall fashion including fashion week. I love seeing what others are wearing/loving and being inspired by it.
  • Actually talking to people unlike how the entire of my summer went. This point could also be a downside if you think about it.
  • Decorating for the holidays. I love seeing the different decorations people put on their homes as long as they put them up and take them down within reasonable timing. And, I love decorating, too!
  • Hayrides and pumpkin carving. Enough said.
Well, there you are! Some great reasons to be happy and excited for fall. Talk to you later, Scouts!
Bye :)
