My Week In A Flash + The Summer Tag 4

What a week. All I have to say about it. As everyone knows, this past week was the week of the 4th. The fourth of July. Most everyone has plans to do one thing or another and I am included in this 'most everyone'. See, every year there is a parade in the neighboring town. My family is always there; partially because it's a parade and who doesn't like parades? And, also, because (first my sister, now my brother and I) march in this very parade every year of high school with the marching band. I am in the color guard spinning my flag, while my brother plays the school song on the trumpet. Anyways, Tuesday and Wednesday nights we had band practice leading up to this highly popular event on Main Street. Late that night my family goes to watch fireworks at one place or another to finish off the holiday.

Last Tuesday was also the day I planted green beans (Trust me when I say I know how incredibly geeky this sounds as I keep reminding myself, but so what). I am pleased to report that they are doing great and that I expect lots of green beans later in the summer.

In the mean time, my sister is a quarter of they way through her trip to Georgia/Florida. Saturday at midnight my father, sister, and I drove to Detroit to drop my sister off. All in all this was an 8 hour round trip and we got lost several times. Not fun, to say the least. But anyways, she is having a great time and I was in the airport for the second time my entire life (which means that I, myself, have never rode in an airplane. Sad, I know). Now I am just waiting until we have to make this same trip to pick her up on the 20th.

Lately though I have been milling around the house not exactly doing anything, but not exactly doing nothing. Possibly, most probable, because I have no friends and my family does absolutely nothing all summer long. I have a boring life. My brother on the other hand has just started drivers training segment 1 a couple of days ago. Just because I hated drivers training doesn't mean he does...

I originally discovered this brilliant song a couple of summers ago and fell in love. I had then since forgot about it until it randomly popped into my head. Since then, I have been singing it loads and loads. As you can probably tell, I had no trouble knowing which song was my favorite for summer.

Well, I believe I have positively ranted enough about my week. I hope this makes up for not posting *promises to most more often now that that week is done with, but no promises during band camp, mind you*. Hope you have had a good week, maybe a little less scattered than mine. :)
