#30days: The Mainstream

Hello, Lovelies

Today's topic is: 'Your views on mainstream music.'

I think most people can agree when it is said that they have a secret party song that is repeated on the radio nine times a day for a solid month. By the time a month goes by, they hate the song and never want to hear it again. It happens all the time.

Personally, I can almost listen to the radio. But not quite. The songs are stuck on replay or are really inappropriate. Sometimes both. I prefer to listen to up and coming bands and indie or alternate bands and artists. I like to not be forced to listen to the same repeated junk on the radio, but rather have my own, individual style and favorites. I am an individual with thoughts people.

I really branched out with my music. I used to only listen to the radio when I was younger. It was very influential, but not necessarily in a good way. Finding my own favorites, my own music preferance was really eye opening.

So, to respond to the topic. Mainstream music can be good sometimes, but is hard to find because the population is influencing it and putting it an a mold. This ruins the music. Having your own style and favorites is better; you can better express yourself. You might find it surprising how much you like an up and coming band or a lesser known song.
