#30days: R-E-S-P-E-C-T, or Not So Much

Hello, Lovelies

To learn what #30days is all about, click HERE.

Today's topic is: 'Disrespecting your parents.'

Although disrespecting our parents is never a good thing, it happens. Even the best of us lose our tempers, or are fighting for something we believe. We don't think that our parents understand, so we go against their wishes. Really, they only have our best interests at heart.

I often find myself irritated when I don't think my dad is listening to me or if it seems like he doesn't care. I don't want to do something when he ask me to. For example, get him a glass of water. He was up since three-thirty in the morning, worked all day, and I'm too lazy to get him a glass of water. Sometimes, I really hate myself. Just for the record, I have been getting him water when he asks most times lately.

That is only one way of disrespecting our parents -not doing what they ask. There are many ways we could disrespect our parents. Countless ways! It's our job as children to respect them, do as they say, and trust that they have our best interests at heart.

Feel free to leave your thought on respecting our parents in the comments below.
