From Kids To Adults: Exercise

Dia duit, Lovelies

Realizing the transition from younin to teen to adult.
Running. It seems as if kids do it all the time. Run in the house, run through the aisles in the store, run away from you. Children love to run. Average adults on the other hand, not so much. For adults, exercise is a chore. People make excuses for not doing it; anything in the book really.

Little ones find so much fun in running, jumping, swinging; it is amazing how much energy they happen to have. It's like a never ending supply of energy that they have (until the grow up a bit). It is a mystery to everyone.

Older kids almost have to be forced by their parents to get outside after they discover the magical land of video games, computers, internet, and phones (am I missing any?). Parents may even sign them up for a sports team to get their teens and tweens outside more often. Really, they should be thanked.

This often leads to teens playing on a school or club sports team. Generally, they are pretty good players because they started playing the sport at such a young age. Also, through the years they learned how much they really enjoy the game. Many high school students keep playing throughout college, too, after being recruited.

The sport has become part of you, part of your life, part of your persona. You are the sport. There is no going back from here.

Many adults on the other hand, don't like to exercise or do any kind of physical activity. We are lazy people who like to eat potato chips and watch netflix. It's our thing, but it's not healthy by any means.

Now, I'm not saying that everyone is like this. There are people who like to exercise. I salute you. Though, most of us don't get nearly enough as we should, me included.

Really though, who likes to run?
