Weekend In A Snap

Good day, Lovelies

If you've been keeping up with this blog, you know that a lot has been going on in my life over the past few days. Let me brief you on it.

Friday:
Today was my birthday. I turned 17 and overall it was a really nice day. My friends gave me presents and planned a surprise party after school. There were even a couple teachers in on it and trying to distract me while they set everything up. Everyone at the party signed the lid of the pizza box (which I kept), Morgan from zudzud16.blogspot.com made red velvet cupcakes, and we ate and listened to music.

As a tradition, my dad got me flowers. They were lilies. My favorite. I also got balloons and these Swish chocolate roll sweet things.

Friday was also the pep assembly and double header game for the dance. This meant I had pep band to go to, but I stayed for the remainder of the boys game. As usual the boys lost, but the girls did pretty good winning by over 30 points.

When I got home from the game, my grandma had a cake ready. It was funfetti which I picked out. She had also made it in the shape of and 'H'. It was really nice. Everyone sang (well, everyone except my brother, dad, and grandpa which left my sister, her boyfriend, and my grandma). Then I blew out the candles and ate some cake.

Saturday:
Saturday was the dance, Sweetheart Swirl Sadie Hawkins style. For most of the day, I just chilled out around the house. I also had to go shopping for snacks, clean my dad's car, and pick up my room for when my friends came over to get ready.

A little bit after four o'clock Lilia, Morgan (zudzud16.blogspot.com), and Cierra (kargenianbeautyblog.blogspot.com) showed up at my house and we started getting ready for the dance.
Cierra curled my hair and it looked amazing. I ate cheddar sour cream chips.
When we all finished doing our hair and make up, we put our dresses on. Then it was picture time! Here is a preview of what is to come later this week.

Anyways, I had lots of fun at the dance. I hung out with some people I don't hang out with very often and go to see an arrangement of interesting dance moves. Haha, it was great!
I just want to say this one thing: Morgan, Cierra, Lilia, and I all got rejected when we asked a guy to the dance. But, those three did not have the guy they asked stare at them every single time they walked past the guy. It happened to me and only me. *rolls eyes*

Sunday:
My family birthday party was Sunday. It was pretty good expect for the part when my uncle piled a bunch a trash on me. That didn't go over well. Just saying. The presents I got were nice, and the money I got will probably go towards books and clothes. Yup, I thinks so.

Also Sunday, my family found out that my aunt is pregnant again! The baby is supposed to be born on the 10th of September, but I'm hoping it comes just a bit early. I just want the baby to be born in August because there are no summer birthdays in my family and a TON in the fall, including September.
Everyone is hoping for a little girl (or two). My aunt and uncle already have two boys who are adorable. I just want a little girl who's hair I can do and dress up!
I would say that the only thing a bit disappointing is that they can't come up for spring break now. Um, let me clarify something. These are the family members that live in Virginia that my family stayed with over Christmas break. Yeah, so now that that is cleared up.

I'm just so happy-excited-out of my mind-joyful for another baby cousin! Ahh! : p

Monday:
Today I am ordering/buying my Canon camera with some of the money I got back from cancelling the People to People trip. It comes in a kit which is great. I'm going to be saving SO, SO, SO, much money this way. Can't wait to get my hands on it!
