It seems as if there are fewer and fewer girls out in the world who know girl code. Therefore, I am going to brief you on it. The whole idea of this post was thought up after talking with my brother's girlfriend and she blabbing to him about our conversation. Later she said she didn't know what girl code was. This is for you!
1. This applies to the situation above. You don't have to talk to your boyfriend, in this case also my brother, about every word we speak to each other. So basic. There is no simpler 'rule' of girl code. Especially if it is basic informative information. <- Yes, that's redundant, but I don't care!
Dumbed down version: your boyfriend doesn't need to know everything about our conversations. Come on now.
2. Never talk bad about your friends house, family, etc. to them, behind their back, or even if you're just agreeing with what they just said! It's NOT okay. No. This would be the perfect way to LOSE a friend, not make one or keep one.
Dumbed down version: no trash talk.
3. If you are, for whatever reason, interested in your friend's ex, you best make sure that she really is okay with you dating him. She may say she is okay, but really no. And if she says, "It's fine." you know it's not because the scale goes -great, good, okay, not okay, I hate you, fine. Also, if you are the friend of the friend wanting to date your ex, sometimes it's okay to be okay. But, don't say it's okay if it's not. Just saying.
Dumbed down version: make sure it's okay to date the ex, sometimes it's okay to be okay.
Those are three of the basic codes. For more, watch Girl Code on MTV. Maybe I'll do another one of these types of post again. Who ever knows?
It's been real.
